Mayor responds to Ama-wheelies petition
Mayor responded positively to the petition of Ama-wheelies that was handed over to the municipality towards the festive season last year.
MBOMBELA – The executive mayor of the City of Mbombela Local Municipality Cllr Sibusiso Mathonsi finally responded to the petition of Ama-Wheelies that was handed over last year towards the festive season.

The members raised various concern on issues of road safety such as improving road infrastructure and basic service delivery. Mathonsi committed himself to ensure that road safety of all citizens is prioritised.

The municipality warned motorists about unannounced road blocks and visibility of traffic law enforcement officials will be intensified in all the spheres of the city so that they can deal with non-buckling motorists.

“Indeed, zero tolerance to non-adherence to road traffic rules is hereby declared, therefore motorists who will take chances will face the full might of the applicable laws,” said Mathonsi.
He also added that the municipality will continue to partner with any organised structures like Ama-Wheelies ,whose objectives are to promote road safety.
