Power shortage due to storm in Thulamahashe
Few houses around Thulamahashe, MP Stream had no electricity on Thursday night following heavy storms and winds in the area.
BUSHBUCKRIDGE – Mr Nicholas Khumalo, a resident of Stream A, says a transformer supplying about 18 houses burnt after an alleged electrical cord disturbance caused by the winds.
“Few trees were uprooted and the transformer was affected, hence most houses had their electrical appliances burnt,” he said.
No other damages were reported from various areas around Bushbuckridge Municipality.
Attempt to reach Ms Maria Masuku spokesperson of Bushbuckridge Local Municipality proved fruitless as her cellphone and office land lines rang unattended.

Mr George Mthethwa spokesperson of the Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs indicated that a meeting a was underway with all municipalities to check if there were any damages.
