He won Idols SA, recorded a special Proudly African version of the official theme song for the Lion King and recently released his second album.
It’s been almost two years since he won Idols SA, this is what the he has been up to:
How has life been after winning the competition?
I’ve been quiet busy with gigs everywhere and promoting my new album, Matters of the heart around the country.
Tell us more about it
It’s a 10-track album comprising love songs. Most of the songs were written from a personal space. For instance, Sthandwa Sam is a track where I appreciate my partner.
Who is the lucky lady? Was she on Idols?
No!(He chuckles) I prefer keeping my personal life private but what I can tell you is that I love her and we’re still getting to know each other. I’m in a good space for sure.

It’s 2017, any New Year’s resolutions?
Well, singing is definitely on my list but I would love to venture into television. As a sports fanatic, being given an opportunity to present a sport show would be great.
