Entertainment spectacle to liven up life in the city

The whole spectacle commences tonight with a star-studded line-up of comedians drawn from home and nationally, too.

After many years of inactivity, the Mpumalanga government has brought smiles to locals with a three-day non-stop entertainment calendar that is sure to liven up the local entertainment arena.

The whole spectacle commences tonight with a star-studded line-up of comedians drawn from home and nationally, too. The comedy show at City Centre in Alroe Park features the likes of Moozy Khumalo, Bernet Manana,Tshireletso Phasha, Maanda Mungulwa, Tietsie Matlakala, Kedebone Mulaudzi, Celeste Ntuli and Sergio Taylor. The show kicks off at 19.00 and admission fee is R50.

Tomorrow you can brace yourselves for a night of house music at the same venue where there will be greats that include Dj Clock, Dj Kent, Dj Giggs, Dj Switch, Dj Sdunkero, Dj Shabbisto, Dj Stax, Dj Khaya,, Frikk, Dj Lady Nooh, Dj 1000 Kings, Dj S’bonelo, Dj Bling Bling and Emoboys. It kicks off at 20:00 and admission is R50.

Saturday’s event at Mbombela Stadium will go down in history to be a mixture of old, legendary talent that will be pitted against young blood in the entertainment industry. Internationally renowned Ray Phiri from Stimela, will set the stage ablaze with his evergreen soulful mixture of music that will sure take you down memorylane.

Also coming from the old school is PJ Powers, popularly known as Thandeka in music circles as she will remind you of one of her super hits, “Jabulani” and others. Jazz singer, Judith Sephuma will also add spice to the already hot line-up. Nothembi Mkwebane, the internally renowned Ndebele musician will add cultural spice to the show and demonstrate to all and sundry why international audiences have been demanding her music.

Oskido will come in handy with his house-kwaito hits and Sama award- winning musician, Nathi add to your taste buds on the day with his hit track, “Nomvula”, Other artists in the line-up include Vusi Nova, Kwesta, JR, Dj Sbu, former SA Idols winners, Musa and Karabo, Robbie Malinga, Sipho Makhabane, Masikane, Nina Tereblanche, Bholoja, General Muzka, Bongi Silinda, Jay Spitter and Nothando.

General tickets are R80, VIP R500, VVIP R750. The festival kicks off at 10:00. All tickets are available from Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers stores.
