Lad’s music talent dazzles

A bevy of gospel artists and an A-Class audience marvelled at his artistry and creativity as he prepared to take on the best in the industry.

That was the launch of Tshepo Price’s single, “Nthute,” which, to me, will certainly dazzle gospel music circles. Price comes over fresh as a daisy as he articulately collaborated with renowned gospel muso, Tshepiso Mpotla, much to the delight of the audience that attended the launch last Friday.

Apart from giving a splendid performance on his single, he got so spirited that he delved into his other unreleased songs contained in his debut album, Beginning Begins that he is currently working on. The deliverance was good live and more fireworks are to be expected after the completion of his studio recordings.

His full name is Tshepo Clement Theko, nicknamed “Price” from his surname. He became born-again Christian in 1990 and grew up in Bushbuckridge with his extended family. He was a worship leader at the Acts Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor MW and H Moeng. He matriculated in 2009 and went to pursue a diploma in tourism in Mbombela and graduated in 2014.

In the same year he moved to Pretoria and joined the Church of the Nazarene Divine Hope where he became a worship leader who travelled extensively around the Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo ministries. One is also amazed that Tshepo is also a jazz fan and his love for soul music is indescribable.

During his journeys he shared the stage with the likes of Lebo Segobela, Tebs David and many others until he was discovered by Reechards at Divine Hope and groomed into a brand by the experienced team at Reechards.

Currently, Tshepo is performing the works of other legends and his art and talent are amazing. The young man is gifted and Reechards aim is to attain platinum sales for his music.

The sky is the limit for this lad.
