MBOMBELA – Corrective rape is still a big challenge that is faced by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.
This was revealed during the Civil Society march that was held on Friday in the CBD.
Speaking to Mpumalanga News, one of the victims who claimed to have been raped, Ms Choky Sono confirmed that they still fall victims of rape and their cases are not taken seriously.
“We were gang raped with my partner (girlfriend) by four men .They told us that they want to show us that we are women .It’s about time for men to learn to respect women and not see them as sex objects,”she explained.
