Members of a concerned group spreads happiness

Lahlangidophe Concerned Group handed out the uniforms at Msogwaba Library in the presence of one of its sponsors, Dr Gcina Mavuso who reminded the recipients that Nelson Mandela appealed to everyone to do good for those who are less fortunate.

PIENAAR – Members of a newly-formed group which aims to lend a helping hand to those in need, donated uniforms to more than 20 children from various schools recently.

Lahlangidophe Concerned Group handed out the uniforms at Msogwaba Library in the presence of one of its sponsors, Dr Gcina Mavuso who reminded the recipients that Nelson Mandela appealed to everyone to do good for those who are less fortunate. “We do this because we love Madiba, he set a good example for all of us.

“We have to be role models of character and good deeds.

“We are here because we are inspired by Madiba’s legacy,” he added. Parents also expressed their gratitude for the positive work that has been done by the group to help change lives.

Lahlangidophe is a siSwati version of the idiom “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. The members aspire to use whatever they have to put smiles on the faces of the needy.
According to Fikile Lubisi, director of MSK security, the group help buy school uniforms and food parcels for the underprivileged.

She thanked Dr Mavuso and a local businessman, Khisani Shongwe for their contributions.
