No arrest yet in the shooting of ANC councillor candidate

BARBERTON – It has been almost three weeks since the ANC Councillor candidate, Mr Mandla Mamba was shot by unknown suspect and so far no one has been arrested.

Information at our disposal indicated that he was shot by a man who climbed out in a mini bus taxi.

Mpumalanga News has learnt that he was shot twice and was rushed to Barberton hospital.
It is alleged that the attack may have been politically motivated as it is also alleged that there are members of the ruling party who were not happy with him being nominated as councillor candidate.
A case of attempted murder has been opened at Barberton police station.
