One cannot deny the fact that there’s a lot of work that goes into producing a well-rounded album – from the lyrics to all the nitty-gritty stuff. It is artists like Qiniso Mabaso that make it look like it’s just a walk in the park.

This 28-year-old from KaBokweni has just released her debut album titled Umile Njalo, and it’s nothing but good food for the soul.

“I started singing and writing songs when I was 13 with my mother and my twin sister. I have dreamt of releasing my own album ever since, and God saw it fit for me to release it now.

I met my producer, Mangaliso Goje last year. He worked with me on the album and helped me put down what has always been in my heart,”
said Mabaso.

This album is proof of how beautiful and soothing simplicity can be. With such beautiful backing vocals, the lyrics are surely carried through for the intended purpose.

“I believe I am called for this ministry, and I know it is by God’s grace that I finally managed to release my 13-track album. It was influenced by my experiences and my journey in the walk of faith.

It features songs like ‘Though I walk’, ‘Uyacabanga Ngami’ and ‘Mhalamhala yaXikwembu’, just to mention a few. These are songs that are very close to my heart, and I know that the people will resonate with them,” she added.

The CD is available from the artist herself. Order yours by calling 082-065-4515.
