Aces to host Free State Stars

Mpumalanga Black Aces will play their final league game of the season against Free State Stars at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
This final clash kicks off at 15:00.
Even though the home team has already secured a spot in the top eight, a win against the Nedbank Cup semi-finalist, Free State Stars will be an added bonus for Muhsin Ertugral’s boys and the team’s supporters.
Currently on the fifth spot on the table with 44 points, Aces would certainly be looking to end matters on a high note and maybe help the current league’s leading goalscorer Collins Mbesuma win the golden boot.
Mbesuma has scored 14 league goals, and one during a cup game, bringing his goal tally to 15.
Speaking briefly to Mpumalanga News, Aces spokesperson, Gordon Masondo appealed to supporters and soccer fanatics in the province to come in throngs and fill the Mbombela Stadium.
“They actually have every reason to come and support the team. I mean, the boys have been playing good football and scoring goals. As I speak, we are on position five on the log, meaning that we must have been doing something special that needs support from our supporters,” said Masando.
Free State Stars are on position 11 with 35 points.
Under Ertugral, Aces have been on fire this season and one can look forward to an even more exciting new season, which will kick-off in August. As part of their activation programmes, Aces will visit St Peters Primary School on Thursday at 11:00.
On Friday, they will visit Entabamhlophe Combined School at 12:00 and Riverside Mall at 15:00.
Just before kick-off on Saturday, they will make a final stop again at the Riverside Mall at 09:00 until 12:00.
