Tour launches at Emnotweni

"Mbombela has become my home and I can’t wait to be on stage there again. The previous show I did ahead of my album release was amazing, the people were warm and homey."

The night, anticipated by the Christian community and all lovers of beautiful music, is almost here. Songbird, Mahalia Buchanan will be performing at Emnotweni on May 7 as a launch for her upcoming world tour.

“I’m looking forward to a night of nothing but good music and the good company of family and friends. Mbombela has become my home and I can’t wait to be on stage there again. The previous show I did ahead of my album release was amazing, the people were warm and homey. I performed new songs most of the time, but the reception was beautiful, I’m looking forward to doing it again,” said Mahalia Buchanan.

Her album, Redeemed to Worship, is doing very well on the shelves, particularly in Mpumalanga, Buchanan shared.

“Mpumalanga seems to love the album even more, it’s no doubt the launch will be in Mbombela. I will be singing alongside fellow musicians Xolani Mdlalose, Phindile Phoky, Princess Indlovukazi and Paul Mervas, to mention but a few. It’s something that excites my heart while preparing for it,” she added.

This debut album has recently been nominated in the South African Music Awards (Samas) under the best faith category.

“It’s a humbling experience, seeing that this is my first album, it makes it worth the wait. I take it as a confirmation that I’m on the right path. I’m nominated with people who have groomed me, such as Pastor Benjamin Dube, a man I’ve worked with when I was 13 years old. God is good and I see him coming through for me all the time,” she added.

Her tour will extend to the Eastern Cape, East London, Botswana, and London. Tickets to the show are available at Computicket at R150
