Parents urged to guide the youth

"We believe that they are leaders of tomorrow. We can’t have leaders who are not disciplined and don’t have direction,"

MBOMBELA – The chairperson of the House of Traditional Leaders, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena called upon parents to reposition themselves in terms of understanding their role in society.
This comes after the house raised a serious concern regarding the new generation that is accused of losing morals and turning a blind eye to their cultural roots.
In an exclusive interview with Mpumalanga News, Mokeona stated that it’s about time for parents to stand their ground and learn to discipline their children.
“We cannot pretend that everything is going well. It’s about time we taught our children how to conduct themselves so that they can become better people in the community.

We believe that they are leaders of tomorrow. We can’t have leaders who are not disciplined and don’t have direction,” he alluded.
This comes after he interacted with different young people during the Ummemo Ceremonty that was recently held at Enkhaba hosted by Chief Sizwe Nkosi.
