Mozambican man appears for minor’s rape

ELUKWATINI A 41-year-old Mozambican man will today appear before the Eerstehoek Magistrate’s Court in connection with the rape of his girlfriend’s nine-year-old granddaughter.
It is alleged that on April 13, the man sneaked to the minor’s bedroom while his girlfriend was sleeping in their bedroom.
“When the complainant (girlfriend) woke up in the middle of the night and found that her boyfriend was not in their bedroom, she began to look for him around the house only to find him naked in the minor’s bed,” explained Const Peace Mbokane spokesperson for the local police.
He added that the grandmother also learned from the victim that it was not the first time for her being raped by the suspect. He raped her two times before but was threatened not to tell anyone.
