A note closer to the Meridian Karino- Innibos Choir Festival

Talent Search participants may showcase their talent in singing, dancing or acting. The winners may win bursaries to attend Meridian Karino Independent School.

Choirs and young talent from the communities in the Pienaar, Zwelisha and Kanyamazane area will be participating in the Meridian Karino- Innibos Community Primary Schools Choir Competition and Talent Search, which is set to take place on 16 April 2016 from 08:00 to 12:00 at Meridian Karino Independent School.

The purpose of this event is to expand the choral platform especially in the Primary Schools as well as to prepare the choirs for the annual Meridian Karino – Innibos Choir Festival which is going to be taking place in June 2016. Ten talented learners from each of the participating schools will also participate in the Talent Search.

The different schools that will be taking part are Tiga Primary, Somcuba Primary, Chakaza Primary and Yedwa Primary, each choir consists of a maximum of 60 vocally gifted members. The participating choirs will be performing 3 songs each, one of which is a prescribed song.

Talent Search participants may showcase their talent in singing, dancing or acting. The winners may win bursaries to attend Meridian Karino Independent School.

There will be 4 judges and one of them is Divine Mlambo who has a very good ear for a good sounding choir and has himself won a number of prestigious awards.

Members of the public are welcome to come and watch the talent unfold.
