Karabo leaves Generations: The Legacy

This is the second blow the soapie has suffered in a short space of time after another lead actor, Rapulana Seiphemo, was involved in a car accident and had to stay off work for a while.

Generations: The Legacy viewers are shocked to learn that one of the lead actresses, Connie Ferguson, is leaving the soapie. According to the soapie’s publicist, Gaaratwe Mokhethi, Connie is working on a couple of projects that need her undivided attention.

“Connie is a woman of many talents, she’s a producer amongst other things. It’s unfortunate that we have to let her go so she can focus on all the projects that require her undivided attention,” said Mokhethi.

It’s still not confirmed whether her character will be killed or somebody else will have to step on her shoes.

“It hasn’t been discussed whether her character will also be put on hold, but all those will be communicated as they are made available,” she added.

“That’s the thing about a soapie, it has to keep moving, and such things keep us on our toes. The people want to keep watching it and so we have to keep working,” concluded Mokhethi.

Her exit scenes haven’t been shot yet, she will still be on our screens for the next coming months.
