Livestock farmers to attend first drought road show

A comprehensive plan was developed and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has spent R318, 726 million on drought relief programs so far.

MBOMBELA- The minister for the department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Mr Senzeni Zokwana and the deputy minister Mr Bheki Cele are expected to address farmers during the first drought response roadshow at Ekulindeni today.

A comprehensive plan was developed and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has spent R318, 726 million on drought relief programs so far.

The province is the first to host the minister’s in this first road show. Animal feed and water tanks will be distributed to livestock farmers. The ministers and the local MEC Mr Andries Gamede will also engage with farmers during this visit.
