Zuma visits injured cop in hospital

The two wished Const Philip Bhiya a speedy recovery from his hospital bed in Mapulaneng yesterday.

MBOMBELA – The newly appointed Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Mondli Zuma and the MEC for Community safety, security and liaison in the province, Mr Vusi Shongwe paid a courtesy visit to the injured police officer in hospital.

The two wished Const Philip Bhiya a speedy recovery from his hospital bed in Mapulaneng yesterday. Bhiya is in the hospital undergoing treatment after he was shot while tracing suspects suspected of committing crimes around Kabokweni.

Bhiya was short on his right arm and was taken to hospital.
According to police reports, the suspects hijacked a Toyota Hiace and fled the scene. “One of them was arrested on charges of attempted murder. Investigations are continuing,” explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.
