Churches to be taught on tax and government procedures

Pastors and church leaders in Nkomazi and surrounds are invited to attend a workshop that will benefit their churches and align them with government.

TONGA – Nkomazi Genesis is awarding the opportunity to church leaders to ask questions and get answers regarding SARS and financial issues.

“It is important to note that they are not immune to tax and everything around it. This is not a new phenomenon, even in the days of Paul in the Bible, it happened.

“Churches should stop assuming this is a demonic attack against them, instead they should take time to learn how it all works,” said Bheki Mbombi, CEO of Nkomazi Genesis and organiser of the seminar.

According to Mbombi, this will not only teach churches about tax, it will also serve as an eye-opener on how they can align themselves with government to help different communities.

“A church is a non-profit organisation, apart from all the preaching, it has to help the communities, that’s our mandate. This event will touch on all of that and more. Attendees should bring R100.

“Food and drinks are on the house,” added Mbombi.

The seminar will start at 10:00 on Saturday at Far East, Tonga.
