Fashion speaks of his talent

Mpumalanga boasts yet another star, Talent Mabuza, as he shows off his fashion skills on a national level.

Talent is living up to his name by exploring the fashion industry. The 25-year-old of Ngodini has finally heeded the call to grab opportunities Johannesburg has to offer, and he has been unstoppable ever since.

“I have worked with the Sowetan and dressed up its clients for photoshoots.

“I have also dressed sun babes and it has been a huge experience for me. I have recently dressed actors for Generations the Legacy, Gadafi and Namhla, to mention a few. I’m growing and it’s exciting,” said Mabuza.

His love of fashion dates back to 2011. The journey has been overwhelming and he says he had no choice but to give in. “It’s still taboo when a boy from the village wants to take such a career seriously, especially where I come from.

“I started working at Woolies in Mbombela, dressing up the manikins. People loved and complimented my work, and I realised I could do this, and I started pursuing it on a serious note.

“I am the co-founder of Mpumalanga Beauty, Fashion and Music Awards, and I also do the Miss Ehlanzeni Beauty Pageant. Such projects are helpful in my line of duty, I get to work with fashion designers on a regular basis, that way I know how to play with the material at my disposal to please my clients.”

Talent says he is looking forward to enormous growth in the industry and South Africa will still see a lot of him.

“This is only the beginning, I am ready to spread my wings and fly, grow my clientele in the process. This is something that I truly love, they say ‘find a job that you love, and you won’t have to work through your entire life’ I seriously concur.”

Talent is available to style those of us who take this fashion adventure seriously. You can get in touch with him on Facebook, Talent Jay, or email him at mabuzatalent@gmail.com.
