Great minds think alike and play alike

This Sunday slot is all yours for an all across the board charge of R150. Tickets are available from Computicket outlets, Shoprite Checkers and at Sneakers Edition stores.-

It’s always been said that great minds think alike and play alike. This is very true for three musical minds in the form of Metro FM’s Eddie Zondi and Paul Mtirara, who will be joined by Ligwalagwala FM’s own DJ Sweetmike. They will display their illustrious experience on the decks on November 24 at the Botanical Gardens.

This will be during the last day of the first annual Metro FM Mpumalanga Bikers Charity Run 2013, which will also see the radio station broadcasting Eddie Zondi and Paul Mtirara’s Sunday shows live. It will be exactly on the dot, simultaneously with the Metro FM musical shows on a Sunday, that it will be switched live at the venue, in full view and participation of the large crowd that is expected there.

What is very interesting about this particular episode, is that revellers will be provided with the right prescriptive music that one could wish for, usually enjoyed from the comfort of one’s home on a Sunday mid-day to mid-afternoon. Exclusive classics ranging from a number of musical genres will be played.

Sweetmike falls into this league, although he’s from the local radio station, Ligwalagwala FM, but his Sunday show has stood the test of time as it has been widely appreciated throughout the country, hence he is counted among the best. He’s no curtain-raiser for the two Metro FM deejays, but he will close their show before he opens the floor for youthful soul group, The Soil.

This Sunday slot is all yours for R150. Tickets are available from Computicket outlets, Shoprite Checkers and at Sneaker’s Edition stores. The event is jointly organised by Metro FM, Ziyaphenduka Promotions and Big Five Harley-Davidson in Nelspruit.
