LIHAWU – A Somalian national was arrest after he knocked down a child in the area.
Police reported that the child died on the scene.
Mpumalanga News Online has since reliably learnt that the Somalian didn’t have a valid driver’s licence and was in the country illegally.
Spokesperson for the local police, Lt Jabu Ndubane confirmed that the suspect will make a brief appearance at the Kanyamazane Magistrate Court.
“The suspect aged 30, have been arrested and charged with negligent driving and will appear today,” said Ndubane.
