Mec expected to release provincial crime statistics

MBOMBELA – The Mec for community safety , security and liaison Mr Vusi Shongwe accompany by the provincial commissioner Adv Gen Dumisani Mike Magadlela is expected to release the provincial crime statistics this afternoon at Orion Promenade Hotel.
During the gathering Shongwe is expected to highlight the achievements ,challenges and new strategies that is going to assist in some of the things that is still a problem in the province in terms of fighting crime.
Mpumalanga News learnt that this presentation will occur after some few days DA spokesperson of DA in community safety and security Mr Bosman Grobler revealed that carjacking in the province has increased by 41,8% in past year ,as a result Mpumalanga is now ranked 5th position in the country for this crime.
