10 families to benefit from event
Ten families experience twice as much joy during the Peace and Unity Concert organised by Big Fish on September 5 at the Mbombela Stadium.
MBOMBELA – Ticket holders will be entered into a draw and 10 lucky people will walk away with grocery vouchers to the value of R2 000 each.
“I have put aside R20 000 as a token of appreciation and giving back to the community. I will be celebrating my 50th birthday on September 3 and what better way to celebrate such a milestone than to give back to the community,” said Sipho Makhabane.
According to Makhabane, to make sure that the money is spent to its sole purpose, it will strictly be given away as vouchers, and should be used only to fulfill that purpose.
“It might happen that the winner is well off, in that instance, I would encourage the winner to give to the less fortunate family he/she knows. The purpose is to spend my month with the less fortunate, hence the gift is not in cash. I want them to buy groceries, and just enjoy.”
Tickets to the show, which will see artists such as Joyous Celebration, Rebecca Malope and Thina Zungu, are available at Computicket for R200 and R400 for VIP.
“This eagerly awaited show will take place on September 5 at Mbombela Stadium, and I encourage everyone to come through and be part of this history in making,” he concluded.
