Farmer’s murderers in court

It is alleged that the three shot Mason dead on October 2013 after having gained entry to the deceased farm by cutting a hole through a fence and attacked the farmer’s aged gardener Mr Johannes Mathebula in the process.

MBOMBELA- A murder case against two Zimbabwean men and a local one accused of the gruesome murder of a 63-year old farm owner Mr Paul Mason continues in the Pretoria High Court seated in Nelspruit.
Mr Fortune Charumbira- Mpofu (21), Innocent Bangy Ncube (23) both from Zimbabwe together with Tacklerr Happy Ndlovu (23) from Mooiplass pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder, two charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
It is alleged that the three shot Mason dead on October 2013 after having gained entry to the deceased farm by cutting a hole through a fence and attacked the farmer’s aged gardener Mr Johannes Mathebula in the process.
Testifying in court Mathebula told the court that four men covering their faces with caps entered the farm while he was busy working, two of them were armed with firearm. “They spoke to me in Zulu but used Sotho when speaking to each other. Two of of them ordered me to lie on ground while they tied my hands with shoe laces while threatening me with a firearm. The other two proceeded to the house,” testified Mathebula.
He continued to tell the court that the accused pointed him with the gun and ordered him not to look at them before they taking him to the toilet where they locked him in.
The matter still continues in court.
