Driving school driver hits man near traffic lights
We did not see how it all happened, we just heard a loud sound as we were crossing the robot and when we looked back we saw a man lying down and a truck next to him.
MBOMBELA – A pedestrian was seriously injured this morning after being hit by a driving school truck while trying to cross the robots, near Suikerriet Street in town.
An eyewitness at the scene said they were alarmed when they heard a banging sound at the robot only to find that a pedestrian had been hit. “We did not see how it all happened, we just heard a loud sound as we were crossing the robot and when we looked back we saw a man lying down and a truck next to him.”
And in a few seconds he was in a pool of blood,” said the witness.
Police and an ambulance were called and they immediately responded to the scene and the injured man was rushed to hospital while the truck drive was arrested.
People on the scene voiced their anger and disappointment to see this happening, because driving schools are there to teach people how to drive on the road and avoid accidents, so it is ironic to see an accident like this one.
