WHITE RIVER – A 35-year-old police constable from the Lebombo Port of Entry with his 35-year-old taxi driver have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 41-year-old man.
The suspects fatally assaulted the victim at the White River Taxi Rank, after suspecting him of having stolen cash from the police official’s vehicle in Nelspruit.
“The police management strongly condemns the unlawful act of the duo for taking the law into their own hands, especially the police official who knows the law and is expected to protect the inhabitants of the country but acted to the contrary. The also management welcomes the arrest of the two and is looking forward to the law taking course,”explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.
