Sports commentator on his way up

The South African Broadcasting Corporation’s Ligwalagwala FM’s Bheki Letswalo continues to put the province and the siSwati language on the map.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation’s Ligwalagwala FM’s Bheki Letswalo continues to put the province and the siSwati language on the map.

Letswalo aka Mbekisisi, will go down in history as the first siSwati soccer commentator on national television and is optimistic to do even more to uplift this language.

This inspiring and talented commentator started from humble beginnings after falling in love with radio at a very tender age during his school career.

He joined the vibrant Ligwalagwala FM in the mid-2000s and has never looked back since. He has won the hearts of many loyal listeners and even powerful individuals such as Dr Irvin Khoza, Danny Jordaan and Bobby Motaung, to name but a few.

“I love soccer and live soccer. It’s the passion that drives me to do what I do best,” said Mbekisisi.

He has gone from just being a commentator to presenting his own hour-long sport programme. With all the accolades of being a local top commentator, he remains humble about his achievements and said he still had so much to pursue and offer.

“I am happy and feel blessed with this talent and I hope I am doing Ligwalagwala FM listeners and the people of the province justice. I believe that the best is still to come,” he said.

His commanding voice continues to uplift and take Ligwalagwala FM to even greater heights. Visit Facebook, Bheki Letswalo or twitter @Bheki Letswalo.
