Bank-related-crime stakeholders engagement

The programme will focuse on stabilising and normalising Cash in Transit and Banking related crimes in the Witbank area. This intervention comes after Witbank has been identified as a hot spot for this type of crimes.

MBOMBELA- The South African Police Service and the South African Banking Industry Regulator (SABRIC) will hold a stakeholder engagement aimed at finding ways on how to deal with bank related criminal activities.

“The programme will focuse on stabilising and normalising Cash in Transit and Banking related crimes in the Witbank area. This intervention comes after Witbank has been identified as a hot spot for this type of crimes,”explained Brig Selvy Mohlala.

Adding that the meeting will be attended top police management including the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Gen Riyah Phiyega accompanied by other senior managers of the SAPS from Head office.

SABRIC CEO, Ms Kallian Pillay will also be in attendance accompanied by bank managers around the area.
