Bafana ready for Nigeria

Bafana will face Nigeria this Sunday March 29 at the Mbombela Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs number-one goal Itumeleng Khune and his deputy have been included in the national team for the upcoming international friendly against Nigeria.

Bafana will face Nigeria this Sunday March 29 at the Mbombela Stadium. Another surprise inclusion in the squad is that of Thulani Serero and May Mahlangu.

News from the national team is that even though Mahlangu received the call-up, he wouldn’t make it because he is still nursing an injury and is only expected back next month.

Orlando Pirates’ goalscoring machine, Lehlohonolo Majoro has deservedly received a call-up to the national team and is expected to partner with Tokelo Rantjie in the striking department.

This much-anticipated friendly encounter is scheduled for 15:30 after the national u/17soccer team, popularly known as Amajimbos, clash against Mali, in a friendly encounter scheduled for 13:00.

According to stadium spokesperson, Mthuthuzeli Qamba, tickets are available
at all Computickets outlets and are selling at R60.

“We believe that this is a reasonable price and therefore hope that our soccer supporters in the province will prove to the whole continent that they are passionate about this game, by filling the stands to capacity.

“We know that there so many Nigerians living in the city and we would like to invite them all to come and support the game,” said Qamba.

He also warned that the full park-and-ride system will apply since they expect a full house.

“Since we have turned this day into a family fun day, we have arranged different packages to suite everyone.

“We are selling VVIP packages at R1 600 each and VIP package at R950 and these are available at the stadium only,” added Qamba.
