Police seriously concerned about hijacking on Numbi road

On Saturday night, another victim was hijacked while visiting friends.

NUMBI – The police in Masoyi are getting more concerned about the increase in car hijacking in the area.

According to the police, the overwhelming escalation calls for a working together relationship with the community.

On Saturday night, another victim was hijacked while visiting friends.

“According to the reports that we have, the victim was pulling into the driveway when four men drove and parked behind him.

The men approached him and ordered him out of the car, pointing a fire-arm at him,” said Const Naniki Nonyane.

She added that the suspects then entered the house and robbed the occupants of their cellphones and other valuables before they sped off with the victim’s car.

The vehicle was later found abandoned next to Kruger National Park Numbi gate.

Nonyane has once again pleaded with motorists and community members to be cautious when using Numbi road since the hijackings are rife in that area.
