Witbank – A 26-year-old woman is expected to appear before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court today for allegedly stabbing and killing her step-father.
The incident occurred on Saturday at Klarinet in Witbank.
Information at the police’s disposal revealed that the step-father, together with his wife, the suspect’s biological mother, were having an argument. During the argument, the step-father is reported to have assaulted his wife, whereupon the suspect took a knife and stabbed him.
Her mother intervened and she was also injured on her left hand by the suspect.
Police, who in turn called the paramedics, were summoned to the scene and the victim was certified dead on the spot. The suspect was arrested and she is facing a charge of murder.
