The vibrant cultures of Mpumalanga will come to life on Saturday the 8th of November as Redd’s Street Carnival will descend on Mbombela with a vivid display of South African inspired floats, masks and over-the-top outfits. The question is, Mbombela are you ready?

Please take note that the roads surrounding the The Rugby Club in Mbombela will be temporarily closed off on the 8th of November for Redd’s Street Carnival.
The 1.4km route comprised of sections of the surrounding roads of the Rugby Club namely: General Dan Pienaar, Old Pretoria road and Kiepersol Street, will be temporarily closed off for 90 minutes from 17h00 to 18h30, as the Street Carnival procession takes place and will re-open shortly after the parade passes through.
The procession which will start and end at the Rugby Club, will take participants on a journey filled with excitement, freedom and spontaneity, featuring an incredible spectacle of the city’s different cultures and communities including representatives from The World Champions in strength Gerhard and Amore; The Bambanani Brass Band; the Tshwane University of technology Hip Hop crew and many more from within Mpumalanga.
The Carnival procession will culminate in a Street Carnival After Party at the Rugby Club from 18h00 until midnight, which will feature an explosive mix of South Africa’s leading artists, fused with a surprise line-up of eclectic acts, including performances from event MC & Beat Boxer Jean Kitenge, The Prince, DJ Shaba, DJ Vodoo, Ricky Rick and two surprise acts.
Tickets to the after party, which is only open to adults over 18 years of age will be sold at the Carnival venue from 11am until 22h30 at R50 per ticket on 8th November 2014.
A percentage of net ticket sale proceeds will be donated to an arts and culture organisation in Mbombela.

Selection of Winner
The two entrees with the correct answers will walk away with two double tickets. In the instance that multiple entrees enter correct answers, the (entrees) will then be entered into a lucky draw. The two lucky winners will then be contacted and announced by the competition organisers on the same day. Please note that the judge’s decision is final.
Prize Collection:
The winners will have their tickets handed over to them at the Redds Street Carnival by the competition organisers on the day of the event. Winners will be contacted and notified of these arrangements prior to the event.
