Local police choir scoops fifth position
The Mpumalanga SAPS Choir had been been announced amongst the top five choirs who participated during the National Choral Music Festival held in the North West Province.
MBOMBELA –The Mpumalanga SAPS Choir had been been announced amongst the top five choirs who participated during the National Choral Music Festival held in the North West Province.
A total of ten choirs participated in the competition.
“Position five is a considerable position taking into account the tightness of the competition, however I am optimistic that Mpumalanga can perform better,” said Lt Gen Thulani Ntobela when congratulating the choir for its performance.
These competitions which are held yearly under the banner of the Police Musical and Cultural Association (POLMUSCA) are part of effective initiatives that play a pivotal role in support of the organisation, not forgetting the immense benevolent contribution towards the well being of the members. POLMUSCA support crime prevention and social responsibility programmes which in times promote healthy community relations.
