Learners write their Annual National Assessment tests

The department has already ensured that all systems are in place for the smooth writing of the Annual National Assessment .

MBOMBELA – Parents and general members of the public are urged to create an enabling environment as thousands of grade one to -six, as well as grade nine learners are to sit for their Annual National Assessment this week.

According to Mr Jasper Zwane, spokesperson for the department of education, a total of 622 922 learners were expected to write their Annual National Assessment termed ANA from yesterday until Friday.

“The department has already ensured that all systems are in place for the smooth writing of this assessment,”he said. He added that the department intended to improve on assessment results from previous years.
