MATSULU – A bus accident delayed workers on Wednesday morning following a Buscor train-bus which collided with a Toyota Avanza, leaving passengers stranded for transport to get to town.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus took an early turn at a T-junction and collided with the vehicle which was on its way to Nelspruit transporting Six Louieville high school teachers. However, no injuries reported on the scene.

“It happened within a blink of an eye. I tried to escape the bus, but it was already late as it was already on my lane when I realized there was not enough space to escape to,” said the driver, Mr Bongani Njiko.

This incident follows another one, which happened on Monday morning when the young woman from eMgcobaneni village was reported dead after a bus knocked her down during the rush hour of the morning.

“The bus knocked and ran on her and she died on the scene,” said the eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous.

This raises more questions than answers about the reliability of the company to many commuters. This newspaper couldn’t reach Buscor authorities for comment at the time of publishing the story.

  1. I think this Buscor transport company must be permanently suspended, two accidents within three days and that takes a life as well, as the member of the family of Mpumalanga I personally don’t want to see those buses anymore. The department of road and transport must come up with a plan to replace Buscor ASAP before we all die in those buses or while driving our own cars.
