Women ask God to protect them

"It's important that as women, we must put our lives in God's hands so that we can be protected since we are living in difficult situations".

KANYAMAZANE – The Word of God says a wise woman builds her house and a stupid woman destroys it with her own hands.

Local members of the Nguni Cluster of the Mother’s Union in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, in collaboration with the Anglican Women’s Fellowship, celebrated Women’s Day in God’s presence at St Paul’s Anglican Church.

The day was celebrated under the theme, “women working for Christ”, They dedicated their lives to God as they were praying and asked God to protect women as in most cases, they fell victims to abuse in our societies.

This publication learnt that some of the issues that were on their prayer lists included brutal killing of children, and safety of children in schools.

This was a reminder of the recent death of a 19-year- old learner at Cefups Academy.

The issue of people living with HIV/Aids was also on the agenda.

One of the speakers, Ms Thuli Sibiya, encouraged women to focus not only on outward appearance, as they must also have inner beauty.

“It’s important that as women, we must put our lives in God’s hands so that we can be protected since we are living in difficult situations.
We need to have that inner beauty so that we can help other people,” she said.
