DJ entangled in baby drama

MBOMBELA – Bonginkosi Zulu, known to many as Thebigzill Onair, has been implicated in a huge babymama drama scandal. The airwaves pundit got the shock of his life when a certain Fortunate of KaMagugu called the station to ask for him to be given off as his baby was unwell.

“I got the news from our promotions manager, Q Prior, when he came into the studio and asked if I had a baby. Surprised, I told him not that I knew of,” said Thebigzill. He took the matter lightly, not realising how serious it actually was.

According to Zulu, he then decided to call the woman to find out what this was all about.
He found out there was another “Thebigzill” roaming town and getting into trouble on his account.
“He knows all there is to know about me, my career path and everything else. I was flabbergasted to realise that there was actually a guy out there claiming to be me,” he said.

The Rise FM DJ then decided to prank the bogus Zill and find out from the horse’s mouth how he reacted to groupies.
“I asked my female colleague to call and pretend to be an excited fan who wanted to hang out with him. The man reacted as much as we had expected him to and I had to jump into the call and introduce myself as the other Zill,” he explained.

According to Zulu, the man was star-struck and too excited that all he could say over the phone was “Thebigzill”. Such things may be taken lightly, but the consequences may be dire to all three parties.

The woman in the picture seems to have been deceived into believing she was not only dating a “celebrity”, but she also had a baby with him, and was trusting enough not to do a background check on the impersonator.

The bogus Zill could get into some serious trouble for identity theft. But this scandal could harm Zulu even more.

“I have worked so hard to build up my reputation and the name that I possess today. It will be a decade next year, and then somebody comes and bruises it in a flash. The woman has a one-year-old with this man and he seems to be shying away from his responsibilities using his ‘job’ at Rise FM as an excuse.”

Thebigzill says his next move is to meet up with the woman and her family to try and explain the whole situation, and he considers taking legal actions against the phony Zill to correct the situation.
“It is okay to be inspired by somebody and look up to them, but stealing their identity is something else.

“It’s extreme. I am considering opening a case against him to get this matter addressed,” he added.
