MBOMBELA – The memorial service of the late Ms Tryhphina Lubambo was held on July 30 at Easthigh College of Excellence.

The deceased lost her life during the shocking accident that happened on the R40 road via White River and Rocky Drift on July 25.

She was described as the best Afrikaans teacher in the province. Speaker after speaker who paid tribute to her said the department of education had lost a great educator, leader and a hard worker whose determination had seen the school obtaining good results in her subject.

The principal of the school, Mr Frank Ngwenya said: “On Friday morning I saw three ambulances with loud sirens, then I said to the person I was travelling with: I wonder what happened, but it is very serious. In not more than a few minutes later, we saw a fire brigade. I then received a call that the queen is no more.

No one will replace her, may the Holy Spirit see you and on behalf of the school, we say may your loving soul rest in peace,” he said.

The director, Mr Abel Nkuna said: “A teacher is a very important/ main person in the world. As a school, we have suffered a great loss. May the Good Lord comfort her family and friends (sengatsi Inkosi lapho itsetse khona iyati kwekutsi itawu bhandisha njani).

“As Christians, we believe that we will meet her again,(sengatsi umphefumulo wakhe ungalala ngalokhulu kuphumula),” he added.
