Nine deaths at horrific accident
A total of nine people were killed after a freak accident on Friday morning on the Plaston Road around 07:00.
ROCKYSDRIFT- A total of nine people were killed after a freak accident on Friday morning on the Plaston Road around 07:00.
According to Sgt Gerald Sedibe, seven were killed on the scene while two died in hospital and seven others were admitted with serious injuries.
The driver of the taxi which was travelling from Kabokweni and heading towards Mbombela apparently lost control of the vehicle, and it and ended up capsizing in a ditch near R40 in Mpumalanga.
The taxi carrying 15 passengers failed to stop at the intersection.There were no tyre marks as evidence across the intersection. It was suspected that the brakes might have failed.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road into a ditch. On impact, the taxi flipped and the passengers were flung out of the car several metres away from the point of impact.
A second accident also took place approximately 15 to minutes after the taxi veered into the ditch.
Traffic officers who were rushing to the scene were involved in thia accident. The driver of the state vehicle allegedly lost control of the vehicle, and it subsequently overturned. At the time of publication, no fatalities were reported from this accident.

Goodday. My concern with this Nine death at horrific accident is, any drivers must take heed of their high speed because the road along Rocky’ Drift and White River from Kabokweni is free with no humps to control the vehicles. Another thing, devil worshipers are all over to split blood because we blame drivers and this is very serious. Well nothing we can do except for YOU and ME to pray always for a short or long distances we may take in each of every day in a week, we must mention everyone in a prayer; drivers, nurses, doctors, school children, teacher everyone we are in a war and the way things happen it shows that is said in the bible. Thank you!
