Aces looking at Zambian striker

PSL outfit Mpumalanga Black Aces are said to be considering a bid for Zambian international striker Alex Ngonga.

Black Aces are said to have contacted the 22-year-old strikers’ Zambian club Power Dynamos this week over a possible move to South Africa’s top-flight.

“Mpumalanga Black Aces have expressed interest in Alex, but the club has asked them to put it in writing,” a source familiar with the development said.

“The interest is strong but something concrete may materialise by this Wednesday.”

Black Aces is the second club Ngonga has been connected to since bursting onto the scene last year at the 2013 Cosafa Cup in Zambia where he inspired Chipolopolo to victory in the finals with a goal in the hosts’ 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in Ndola.

Ngonga has scored five goals in 15 games so far this season for Power who are currently third on the Zambia Super Division table on 28 points, five points behind leaders Zanaco.

He scored eight goals last season during his loan spell at Nchanga Rangers to help them to a third place finish in the 2013 Super Division season.
