Workshop aims to groom true worshippers

Featuring Judith Sephuma, this would be the second time for the workshop to be presented in Nelspruit.

MBOMBELA – With the objective to hone true worshippers of God, Adonai Worship Centre will hold a workshop at the Civic Centre on June 21.

Themed “The heart of Worship”, the workshop will see individuals and churches who are hungry for a true worship experience trained and addressed by Judith Sephuma, Nqubeko Mbatha and Viola Nwadike.

According to Nwadike, one of the organisers, the day will cover among others, how to develop bands and sound, art of singing, how to develop choirs, the power of praise and worship, art of worship, stage presentation, and how to run a musical department.

“Adonai Worship Centre (AWC) is a gift from God for this generation of believers. It operates a divine mandate established to make a worthy contribution towards the restoration of true worship in our churches today.

A major part of our mandate is to share the responsibility (with pastors and churches) of raising properly trained choirs and worship leaders. AWC is blessed with kingdom friends who connect with the vision of bringing back the glory and essence of acceptable worship in the body of Christ,” she added.

Nwadike also stated this would be the second time the workshop to be presented in Nelspruit, with the first in 2012, attracting trainers such as Past Lionel Petersen.

“We are only grateful to God for the impact and testimonies springing forth from these events,” she explained.

Areas of focus will include:
• Emphasis on preparing “the heart” and not “the head”
* Focus on servant hood/service instead of showmanship
* Back to the basics for worship leaders and choir leaders
* Focus on acceptable worship rather than traditional procedures
* Talent/gift development and positioning for “true rewards”
* Biblical training with reference to preparation for true worship
* Morals, ethics and presentation of a true worshipper
* Understanding the role of fasting and praying for sanctification.

“We invite all young believers with a musical drive and a heart for true worship, leaders of musical groups, church and gospel choirs or bands, worship leaders, choir masters, gospel artists, songwriters, instrumentalists and pastors but numbers are strictly limited.”

A registration fee of R280 will be charged for individuals and there is a special fee set aside for churches.
