NELSPRUIT – The 12 Crowning Miss Mpumalanga finalists are finally in the city and look forward to Saturday where one of them will be crowned queen and succeed the beautiful and down-to-earth, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene.

All the beauties seemed relaxed during a welcoming breakfast meeting by Mpumalanga Gambling Board (MGB) on Monday morning saying Saturday was what each one of them deserved, to win.

“Making it to the top 12 is a huge achievement and I’m not under pressure because making it this far makes me a winner already,” said Kholofelo Talane.

Welcoming them to Nelspruit, soon to be home for one of them, MGB CEO,Mr Bheki Mlambo, said whether they took the crown or not, they should still stand tall and make a difference in their respective communities.

To prove to them that the title was not only about being glamorous, the women were given a feel for community service by attending an elderly persons’ dialogue with the premier, Mr David Mabuza at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.

“Should I make it, I will enjoy the journey. I’m a people’s person and projects such as this will never be a pain, but total bliss for me. This is educational and more young people should attend such meetings to avoid challenges facing the elderly,” said Valentia Bouwer.
