Mpumalanga youth invited to participate in water and sanitation sector

The minister of water and sanitation, Senzo Mchunu, urged young citizens in Mbombela to come up with solutions to the challenges faced in the water supply for communities.

The South African water and sanitation minister, Senzo Mchunu, has implored the youth to contribute innovative ideas to the water and sanitation sector.

Mchunu visited a number of water projects and dams in Mpumalanga in the past week and challenged young people to have meaningful engagements so they can make worthwhile contributions.

“My plea to you is to not only be empowered, but to have an outcome that will impact the water sector. It is my wish that at the end of the day, you will emerge better positioned to be able to work with the Department of Water and Sanitation to achieve its objectives,” Mchunu said.
