Mall of Didi donates 24 uniform packs to learners in Mangweni

Dollar-Maker said he would keep his end of the bet he had made in jest and buy new uniforms for the learners of Ntiyi Secondary School in KaHhoyi.

Twelve learners of Mjejane Primary School and Silindokuhle Special School each were given new uniform packs on Friday April 21.

The donation was made by Dominic Mathabela through his company, Mall of Didi, in partnership with Humelela Hardware. Mathabela, also known as Dollar-Maker, was chosen as the ambassador for Mjejane Primary School after he had helped it secure sponsorship from various companies in the past.

“I have been involved with Mjejane Primary School for a very long time to a point where they have decided to make me an ambassador. I source sponsorship for them from various companies. We have also managed to ensure that sanitary towels are constantly donated to the school through various channels, and the partnership has been going well since. Today we have partnered with Humelela to ensure that 12 learners will have proper school uniforms,” said Dollar-Maker.

The school’s principal, Moses Ngomane, said they were grateful for the donations, as this would help boost the confidence of the learners who received them.

“Dollar-Maker has been essential in helping us source donations, and we are grateful that today our learners will be dressed in full uniform,” he said.

Dollar-Maker made headlines during the Ward 11 by-elections in Nkomazi when he made a bet on social media platforms that if the EFF were to win, he would buy school uniforms for the learners of Ntiyi Secondary School.

“This was just a social media joke, but I understand that most people have taken it literally. I will ensure that I keep my end of the bet. The EFF has won the ward, and I will buy uniforms for the learners at Ntiyi Secondary School in due time,” he said.
