Nkomazi’s much loved DJ aims for the best with his new album

A Maskandi artist well known for his dance moves and music, DJ Vuna, said his new album is making waves.
He recently released an album titled Swanandzika Kudla Mali Yawena, and said the most popular song on it is “You Are So Beautiful My Love”.
This Nkomazi-born artist’s real name is Johannes Ndzukula. He made a hit when he released “KwaZulu-Natal” and “Uyashada”.

DJ Vuna said his latest album is doing well. “My album is ranked number one on Ligwalagwala FM and I am asked to do interviews on various community radio stations.”

This much-loved Tsonga artist said his passion for music was discovered a few years ago while he was making mud bricks. “We were working and I started singing. As I was singing, the people with me said I needed to release an album, because I was talented. On that day I was singing a song titled ‘Vusiwana bja mina’, which is loosely translated as ‘my poverty’ or ‘struggles’.

At the time, things were not going well in my life. The words just started coming together as I was listening to music legend Phuzekhemisi’s song and working. Since that day, I never looked back, because after they had paid me for making bricks, I used the pay to buy a studio so that my first album could be released. I am pleased with my journey and where I am going. As traditional musicians, we started Benti Balokuhle Artists, of which I am the chairperson.”

He said he would like the community to continue supporting his dream, and that he appreciates all the support.
