Community members picket at Mbombela Civic Centre, demanding opportunities

The protesters marched to raise their concerns about their ward. They submitted a memorandum to the executive mayor, as well.

Community members of Ward 18 marched to the Mbombela Civic Centre on Friday March 31 to raise their grievances.

During the presentation of their memorandum of demands, the protesters said they are demanding jobs and equality in their community.

“We are here to raise our grievances. The Speaker of Mbombela is causing a mess, especially with projects. We have a councillor in our ward and the speaker wants to interfere in projects,” said one of them.
