Province mourns death of beloved RISE fm presenter Victor Rose Jnr

His passing occurred just ahead of the scheduled debut of the A Victorious Rose documentary, intended to chronicle his journey

The renowned award-winning radio presenter and prolific DJ, Victor Rose Jnr (39), has passed away, leaving thousands of RISE fm listeners heartbroken and in shock.

The talented Breakfast Show co-presenter’s death was announced on Friday November 11.
Born Senzo Majola, Victor Rose Jnr’s sudden death has left not only his family in shock, but the entire province, which had been waking up to his sweet and deep voice every morning for the past few months since he joined Mpumalanga’s fastest-growing radio station.
His death comes before the premiere of the planned documentary that was supposed to share his journey, titled A Victorious Rose.

During an interview with Mpumalanga News in August, Majola said two Johannesburg production houses, Ritevac TV and Cunicular Productions, had teamed up to do a documentary series aimed at honouring Majola’s 24-year career in media, his upbringing, how his talent and expertise had led to fame and success, and all the challenges he had faced along the way.
The documentary was supposed to be aired on one of the free-to-air TV channels in December 2022 and later released on Ritevac TV for its subscribers.
