UMP recognises students for hard work during 2022 academic year

This is an annual event held by the university.

It was a night filled with celebrations when the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) hosted its 2022 Co-curricular Awards on Saturday.

These awards recognised individuals and students for their excellent performances and achievements in co-curricular activities such as sports, leadership, societies and residential committees.

The UMP vice chancellor, Prof Thoko Mayekiso, said, “The university places a high premium on these awards. Those of you who will be receiving these awards should be proud of yourselves, because you truly deserve it.

“At UMP, we do not only train our students, but mould them to be future leaders. We prepare students for work and life. Receiving a co-curricular award distinguishes you among your peers and puts you at the forefront of opportunities”.
