Malema lambasts Ramaphosa

The EFF's leader, Julius Malema, recently expressed his opinions on political matters concerning Cyril Ramaphosa and Ronald Lamola.

The EFF leader, Julius Malema, has lambasted both President Cyril Ramaphosa and the ANC NEC member, Ronald Lamola.

Malema described Ramaphosa as a morally bankrupt leader who has failed the nation, before labelling Lamola, who is vying for the ANC deputy presidency position, as a “small boy smelling of cow dung”.

“Nobody in their right state of mind can even think of giving Ramaphosa a second term. Before doing that, you have to ask yourselves what makes him deserving. Since he became president, he has failed in everything. He had proved to be unworthy of leading the country in governance and his personal capacity. There is not a single thing since he took office that he has done right,” said Malema.

He was addressing over 700 EFF delegates during the official closing ceremony of the party’s third Provincial People’s Assembly at the Nutting House Lodge on Sunday.
Malema said under Ramaphosa, the country has sunk deep and is in a state of collapse.
“The economy is lagging, the price of petrol is too high, the price of food is too high. Since he became president, millions of our people have lost their jobs, after he said he was going to create them. The state of health and education is no longer in a good condition.

“When he came in, he said he was going to fight corruption and grow the economy, but today, the economy is in a worse situation than before. There is no longer public health in Mpumalanga. All those who are sick only go to hospital to pass away. The hospitals of Mpumalanga have actually become mortuaries instead of places where we are healthy people,” he said.
“Corruption is at its highest level to a point where people are tired of banking money, they are banking in their own mattresses.
“Even Zuma, the man we thought was corrupt, has never used the police to go and chase after those who stole his goats and cattle, but here you have a man who is more educated than Zuma, who is supposed to know the law he violates.”

Malema then took swipe at Lamola, labelling him as a small boy still fresh from grazing with the cows, who now behaves “as if he is the next big thing”.
Lamola’s name has been thrown into the hat for the highly contested ANC deputy presidency seat. If he accepts the nomination for this position, he will go against highly experienced ANC leaders such as the Gauteng-based Paul Mashatile.

The former ANC Youth League’s deputy president was recently endorsed by the ANC’s Provincial Executive Committee in Mpumalanga.
However, Malema believes Lamola lacks experience for the job.
