“I think this is a good way to start the music competition. The goal is to bring culture to schools. Not only is it making schooling more entertaining, but it also provides learners with an opportunity to socialise outside the classroom.” Mokwena said the competition will help prepare local schools to get a feel of what to expect at the ABC Motsepe South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE) competition.

“Next year, more schools will be included. We will be able to do better as a circuit as a result. Hosting this gave us the opportunity to follow SASCE standards,” Mokwena explained.
